AHPRA Pathway 2 – Experienced Nurse Direct Registration Pathway

If you’re a nurse with at least 1 year or 1800 hours of work experience in The UK, The USA, Ireland, Singapore, Spain, or selected Canadian provinces, the AHPRA Pathway 2 is the most direct and efficient route for you to become a Registered Nurse (RN) in Australia.

Choose your qualification country and check eligibility. - Orientation Part 1 (Online)
Mandatory module covering the Australian healthcare system. - Apply through AHPRA with supporting documents such as:
- Proof of qualification (after 2017)
- Work experience certificates
- Fit2Work
- Passport
- Registration
If approved, you’ll receive General Registration without additional exams or bridging programs.
How to Exempt English Language Scores
IELTS/PTE/OET tests can be exempted of you complete the below mentioned conditions:
- You should hold an expired/valid English language score card that was appeared after 2017 January
- You should have used the same English Language Score card within 1 year to get the work rights of any of the 6 intended countries.
- You should either be currently working in the same country or else the maximum year gap from the said country is limited to 1 year.
